STORY TELLING IN VR and 360 VIDEO

goliath: playing with reality

Through mind-bending animation, explore the limits of reality and a true story of so-called ‘schizophrenia’ and the power of gaming communities. Echo (narrated by Tilda Swinton) guides you through the many realities of Goliath, a man who spent years isolated in psychiatric institutions but finds connection in multiplayer games. Combining heartfelt dialogue, mesmerizing visuals and symbolic interactions, weave through multiple worlds to uncover Goliath's poignant story.

DYING WISE according to rena

Picture
How can one part with life in a dignified and worthy way?
Often, due to great emotional difficulty, we do not say goodbye to the people closest to us. Old age and death are issues that we, as individuals and as a society, are afraid to deal with. Within the family unit, people refrain from talking about these topics- aging, illness, sickness and death. These are repressed and anxiety inducing issues, especially in Western societies.
The film was inspired by Rena Baroch's will to research and talk about these issues, out of a sincere desire for a "correct" farewell from her family. Rena believes that death should be present and voiced, as part of an inevitable human struggle and as an integral part of nature.

BABA YAGA

Sometimes a force for evil, sometimes a force for good, the enigmatic witch Baba Yaga (Kate Winslet) uses her powers to stop the villagers whose settlement encroaches upon her enchanted Forest (Executive Producer Jennifer Hudson). You are Sacha, the eldest and heir to the village throne, and sister to the young and willful Magda (Daisy Ridley). When your mother, the Village Chief (Glenn Close), falls deathly ill, it is up to you and Magda to do the unthinkable—enter the forbidden rainforest, uncover its hidden mysteries and get the cure from Baba Yaga. Ultimately, every decision you make matters… perhaps even whether humanity and nature can live in balance.

cosmic-atomic

Cosmic•Atomic synchronizes the short film Powers of Ten with its ancestors/descendants, placing the viewer within a 360 degree kaleidoscopic ring of mirrored ascent/descent. The journey begins in the Netherlands with Kees Boeke's Cosmic View: The Universe in 40 Jumps, a 1957 book exploring outer space and our inner selves through orders of magnitude.

arden's wake

Meena lives with her father in a lighthouse perched atop an endless sea. Ever since her mother died in a shipwreck when she was little, she has been forbidden to go into the water. One day when her father goes missing during one of his dives, she has to venture deep into the sea to rescue him. However, the monsters that lurk beneath the surface cannot all be seen. Meena must face her past and fraught relationship with her father if she wants to survive.

in protest

From the frontlines of resistance, a constellation of Black voices challenges systemic American racism in a new four-volume series entitled IN PROTEST: Grassroots Stories from the Front Lines. Each volume chronicles a different American city, profiling modern activists as they move beyond street protests to confront inequality and injustice in everyday life. These gripping, first-person stories speak to the urgency of the current uprising to inspire a new generation of defiance. The project honors lives lost while calling for renewed solidarity against racial injustice in America.
